John did a great job providing excellent tunes on our wedding night! He worked the whole room, meeting lots of different ages of guests. John also listened to us primarily as the bride and groom and played our requests.

We especially loved the live mixing and remixing! Thank you for an unforgettable party!

We honestly could not have asked for a better DJ for our wedding. From the very beginning John was professional, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. He absolutely nailed the music, incorporating our choices with music to keep the dancefloor packed all night long!

We booked the master of ceremonies package and the announcements were clear and well-timed and everything flowed so smoothly thanks to the coordination.
The Magic Mirror Photobooth was also a huge hit! Our guests loved it, the props were fun, and it gave everyone such a great keepsake from the night. Between the incredible music and the photobooth, there was never a dull moment.
We also chose to add in a Silent Disco to our evening which was a great talking point during the day and a great way to get the party going again after the buffet opened in the evening, the classic sing along music was amazing, it was such a fun experience enjoyed by everyone of all ages!
So many of our guests have commented on how great the music was and how much fun they had dancing — which is exactly what we wanted.
If you’re looking for a DJ who is talented, reliable, and truly elevates your wedding, i cant reccommend John & Invite Events enough, they truly took the stress away from the day and made the evening so enjoyable for everyone!

We used these guys for our Christmas party and they were amazing. John was so helpful in the booking stage, and on the day the guy was fab! He was so attentive and happy to move the items around to try and fit them into the space. The props for the photo booth were fantastic, the silent disco was brilliant (with them setting up two channels of our preferred music), and the light up letters looked amazing! We would definitely use them again.

We met John and the crew at a wedding fair two years before our wedding. Very approachable and shared all packages in detail. John wasn’t one of these suppliers who pestered and sent continuous emails, he waited for us to confirm we wanted to booked which was much appreciated.

John allowed us to delay our deposit payments during COVID due to money difficulties and the risk of suppliers/venue not surviving the pandemic

During the wedding, John had everything to a T. Small setup during the ceremony discreetly and then all out in the evening!

John did amazing to play all of our requested songs along with what he felt the crowd would want. He did all the announcements for us – cake, first dance etc.

John was an excellent DJ for our wedding in May 2022. Good communication, flexible timings, friendly service.
He managed to get all of our guests on the dancefloor for the final dances of the night which was brilliant.

We booked invite events DJ and photo booth for our wedding in July 2022.

Out of all our suppliers I have to say that this company were the easiest to deal with, from initial enquiry right up until the day. John got back to us straight away when we had any questions and kept us all up to date with the running of the evening. John also supplied all PAT and insurance certificates for our venue (something I wouldnt have thought to ask for myself).

James who was our DJ did the most fantastic job and our guests are still talking about what a great sense of humour he had throughout the night!

Karl who was running the photo booth did an equally fantastic job! There was a little trouble setting up the booth initially but he kept his cool and quickly remedied, all while our intoxicated guests pranced around in the props! Absolutely fab night and would definately use invite events again for future bookings!

Really impressed with the Photo-booth provided by InviteEvents. Great communication throughout and prompt setup and takedown of the Photo-Booth at the party. Everyone loved it, kids and adults and there was even a queue at times to use it. Great props and friendly attendant. Recommend for any party and would use again.

I had a light up dance floor for my wedding recently! Service was good and everybody loved the dance floor! Would definitely recommend!

John was the DJ at our wedding at quite short notice. The booking process was very easy and our questions were answered swiftly, making the whole planning so much less stressful. He was very discreet in the setting up and he played all the songs we requested. Us and all our guests had a great time. Would highly recommend and can’t thank him enough. Thank you!!

I enquired about the 4ft light up letters with a very short time frame until the party, but the team were extremely quick to respond to me and confirm all the details. They were very helpful, great with communication, it was a quick set up and the light up letters were a great addition to our company party. I highly recommend using Invite Events.

I contacted these guys really last minute when I had been let down by other hire company, nothing was a problem for this company and the light up letters provided were brilliant. Arrived and collected on time without having to chase, well done Invite Events.

Arrived early. Set up perfectly. Had amazing communication throughout booking and on the. The Magic Mirror went down a storm with our staff and our DJ played all the hits! Would highly recommend and will use again.

I held a Masonic Ladies night at the Village Hotel Portsmouth 25th Sept 2021. Easy to book the event for 2020 and subsequently re-booked for 2021 with no hassle. Good communication and value. Sent a list of songs I wanted play prior to the night. Music played was perfect for the event and we had a busy dance floor till the early hours. No hesitation in recommending!

Thank you Jon for a top, top night and certainly one we all will remember.  First of all he’s a top bloke, goes out his way to make sure he knows what you want and very easy to get on with.

The ‘Magic Mirror’ went down a storm and left the guests with great souvenirs.  Also the album given to us at the end, with all the images and comments left was a lovely touch.  The two helpers at the ‘Magic Mirror’ were lovely and polite also very patient with the guests who by then had a few to drink.

I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending him and guests have already asked for his details.  Thanks once again Jon.

Wedding Reception 5th August 2017

I hired a DJ for my wedding on the 5th August and although timings were wrong he arrived early – better early than late! The DJ was very polite and was happy to wait around until we could organize space for him to set up. He played a selection of songs and took requests. Songs requested where not your usual wedding songs but he was still happy to play them which is good considering my husband is a keen rapper. Overall, if I had to hire a DJ again I would definitely contact them! Thank you for making the day extra special!

Would like to say a huuuge thank you to John for being our dj at our wedding reception, he was very helpful when we met him and really listened to what we wanted. He done an amazing job he really worked with the crowd and not once was there a song playing without anyone dancing, you can see it’s not just a job for him but generally really enjoys doing it, would highly recommend! And have even recommended to someone I know getting married xx

John was very knowledgeable and helpful from beginning to end. From our first phone call we realised that he was very experienced. He met us at home to discuss our ideas and iron out a few details. Including how to deal with the venues sound limiter!

The up lighting was a fantastic addition to our venue during the day and evening. It transformed the room to give it a little extra colour and ambience. They were wireless and so could be placed anywhere, which helped a lot as our venue didn’t have many power sockets!

The photo booth was a fun part of our evening- although I wouldn’t recommend wearing green else you might disappear into the background! They provided a lovely book for guests to put copies of their photos with a message which was a lovely touch!

As for the disco. The dance floor was rarely empty! We had the chance to make suggestions which gave John a good idea as to what type of party we were, but he was great at reading the room and playing songs which kept the mood high.
We would definitely recommend John and his team for you wedding!

I hired the Magic Mirror for my wedding on the 1st April 2018. The service was brilliant – very professional in the run up to the wedding and on the day. The Magic Mirror was a great hit for guests as they got to keep the photos as did we! It was lovely to have a copy of all the photos taken! The quality of the Magic Mirror was exceptional! A great selection of props and it was interactive – which the kids loved! A great way to capture the evening of the wedding.
